Recording Your Swing

LVPro-DSM offers three recording modes. We recommend AI mode to capture and play back swings automatically.

Three Recording Modes

Pick your mode in Settings — the icons match what you'll see in the app.

AI (Recommended)

AI detects your swing and triggers recording at impact — fully hands free.

Sound Trigger

Triggers recording on the sound of impact.

Manual

Press to start and stop recording yourself.

How AI Recording Works

A status icon appears next to the record button showing exactly what the AI sees. The button color and icon change together as detection progresses.

Golfer Handedness

Select your dominant hand for accurate swing detection.

For golfers who swing from the right side of the ball.

Right

For golfers who swing from the left side of the ball.

Camera Perspective

Select your camera angle for accurate swing detection.

Down-the-Line

Camera behind the golfer, looking down the target line. Shows swing plane and path.

Front View

Camera facing the golfer (face-on). Shows weight transfer and rotation.

Capture DurationHow many seconds to capture before and after the detected impact. Longer durations capture more backswing and follow-through.
1–5 seconds each

Hybrid Trigger

In AI mode, the microphone can assist the AI with finding the exact moment of impact. Set it under AI settings. Audio assist listens at the level you've set for Trigger Sensitivity in Sound Trigger settings — tune it on the same 1–7 club scale below.

Off

No audio assist — video only. Best when practicing without a ball.

Dual (default)

The microphone is the primary impact trigger, with AI as the fallback. Improves impact accuracy for Focus Mode.

Audio

Impact is found by audio only — swing freely without practice swings setting it off.

Other Recording Modes

Manual Mode

Full control over when recording starts and stops. Press the record button to start; press again to stop, or let it auto-stop after the set duration. Best for practice sessions where you want to capture multiple swings.

Sound Trigger Mode

Automatically captures your swing when it detects the sound of impact. The app continuously buffers video — when it hears the strike, it saves footage from before and after the trigger, so the complete swing is captured.

Countdown Timer (Manual)Delay before recording starts after you press record — time to get set. Default 5s; set 0 for Off.

Trigger Sensitivity (Sound)Putter 1–3 · Iron 4–5 · Driver 6–7. Lower = more sensitive; higher = filters noise. See the scale below.

Sound Trigger Sensitivity

Match the level to your club — the scale runs from softest strike to loudest. Lower settings let softer sounds trigger recording (more sensitive, higher chance of false triggers from nearby noise); higher settings filter out ambient noise but can miss softer strikes.

Sound trigger sensitivity scale from 1 to 7: putter 1 to 3, iron 4 to 5, driver 6 to 7. Lower is more sensitive with more false triggers; higher filters ambient noise but may miss softer strikes
