After over 1 year delay we are finally releasing the initial beta of LVPro2 Dual Camera Functionality. As the founder of Live View Sports, I apologize personally for the extended delay but the last year has been difficult. To make a long story short, we lost key developers on our software team and had to rebuild the LVStudio App from scratch. We are excited however since all or our development has been moved in-house and we will be more nimble in delivering new features and bug fixes.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to run the LVPro2 in dual camera configuration, please take note of the following requirements and steps.
- Two LVPro2 cameras, both upgraded to FW 50. See the FW upgrade instructions HERE. Note that FW 50 will require TWO 3 second button presses to turn off the camera. This is a known bug and will be fixed soon.
- Wifi network - due to bandwidth of sending multiple videos, Dual Camera requires a dedicated WiFi router. This should be your home WiFi network. If you are using this at the range we recommend a "pocket router" similar to the GL.iNET
- Once both of your LVPro2s have been updated to FW50, use the LiveView BTScan app to join your home network and note the assigned IP address. Please see this guide on how to install the BTScan tool and apply the client mode setting.
The setup is still a bit complicated but we are working hard to simplify the connection process in the future.
PREPARATION
- Install the LVProDSM dual camera app beta from Testflight. If you open this link on your iPad or iPhone, it should take you directly to the App store to install Testflight and the App Beta.
- Both LVPro2 cameras should be "On" and in client mode . the display will read out two numbers if the camera has successfully entered client mode.
STEP 1: Set Camera Type to LVPro2
When the App launches it will attempt to auto connect to an LVPro camera. You can cancel this connection attempt to go to the network and camera selection screen. if your camera does not already say "LVPro2 use the "switch" link to choose LVPro2 as your camera.

STEP 2: Exit Network and Skip to Main Interface
In the Apple Network select interface, make sure your iPad is connected to the same network as the cameras. Use the "Go Back" button to return directly back to the LVProDSM app. When you are back at the camera and network selection screen, choose "SKIP" to go to the main interface.

STEP 3: Set your custom IP addresses for your LVPro2
In the main interface go to "Settings to enter your custom IP addresses for your LVPro2 cameras. You should have these from the "join network" operation in the "Requirements" section.

STEP 4: Start Dual Streaming.
Once the IP addresses have been set correctly, the Main Camera stream should begin. To activiate the Dual Camera stream tap on the "Dual Stream" Icon below the LVPro2 camera.
